Elmore County residents were among the University of Montevallo students named to the honor roll for the fall semester. To be included on the President’s List, a student must earn at least a 3.8 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and be a full-time student. For the Dean’s List, a student must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and be a full-time student.

Welch named
to Emory Dean’s List

Geoffrey Welch of Wetumpka was named to the Dean’s List of Emory College, the undergraduate, liberal arts college of Emory University in Atlanta, for the 2012 fall semester.
Students must be in the top 20 percent of Emory College or have approximately a 3.85 grade point average or higher to be named to the Dean’s List.

Towle listed for
Cumberland honors

Nina Marie Towle of Millbrook was named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester at Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law.
To qualify for the honor, a student must have earned a minimum 3.0 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 10 credit hours of coursework.

Humphrey earns
Nebraska honors

Ethan Humphrey of Millbrook was named to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Dean’s List/Honor Roll for the fall semester of the 2012-13 academic year.
Humphrey is a freshman mechanical engineering major in the College of Engineering. To qualify for the list, an engineering student must earn a 3.5 of a 4.0 grade-point scale with a minimum of 12 or more graded semester hours.
