Because of the threat of storms, Wetumpka’s community Easter Egg Hunt has been rescheduled for March 30, said Charles Sylvest, First Baptist Church minister of education.
The church organizes and conducts the event, which involves more than candy-filled eggs. The theme will be Rock-n-Roll Easter.
Activities will include a hot dog lunch for the first 500 attendees, pony rides, a magic show, a puppet show and family photos, along with the egg hunt.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon in the park behind the city administrative building.
There will be no charge for any of the planned activities.
Participants must bring their own Easter baskets to collect eggs.
