Mrs. Mary Martin Fuller, 89, a resident of Pike Road (formerly of Titus) died Friday April 5, 2013, at UAB Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. April 8 at Brookside Funeral Home in Millbrook with Minister Terry Claunch officiating.
Born in 1924, Mary worked as a bookkeeper for various businesses. She left that career to open the Wayside Inn Restaurant with her husband. Thirteen years later she became a Store Manager with the ABC Board and eventually retired with them.
Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She was small in size, but she made up for it with her personality. She enjoyed being with her family, cooking for them, and taking care of her animals. She never met a dog she couldn’t love.
She is preceded in death by her father, Al Bailey Martin and her mother, Annie Lee Martin.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, M. Sidney Fuller; daughter, Paula F. Spear of Montgomery; sister, Ruby Nell Martin of Youngstown, Fla.; brother, Charles Edward Martin of Demopolis; sister, Betty Martin Bryan of West Point, Miss.; three grandchildren, William B. Spear, Kamee E. Spear, and Sidney B. Spear Sr. and great grandchild, Sidney B. Spear Jr.
The family will receive friends 1-2 P.m. April 8 at Brookside Funeral Home.
