•St. James United Methodist Church in Montgomery will hold an auction April 13 to benefit student and children missions. Proceeds will help send students on mission trips to third world countries. The auction will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Bidders may preview items April 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. on April 13 from 12 to 4 p.m. Admission is free. This year’s monies will benefit The Widow’s Ministry in Chattanooga, Tenn., The Alabama Rural Ministries in Tuskegee and other local projects.

•Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Eclectic will observe Homecoming April 14. Worship service will begin at 10:30 a.m. The Kempter Family will be the special guest for this event.

•Associational Bible Drills will be held April 14 at 1:30 p.m. at Good Hope Baptist Church.

•Faith Baptist Church will hold a gospel singing April 20 at 6 p.m. featuring Pure Heart of Jacksonville, Fla. Pastor Gerald Wood and the church family invites everyone to attend.

•Mitts Chapel Baptist Church in Deatsville will hold a one-day only Vacation Bible School April 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. It’s Greek to Me! is open to pre-K through sixth grade students. Youth are encouraged to return at 7 p.m. for the drive-in. For more information, call 334-569-1952.

•The Proclaimers Quartet from Columbus, Ga. will perform at Calvary Baptist Church in Wetumpka April 21 at 6 p.m.

•Mt. Zion #3 Missionary Baptist Church in Eclectic will hold a pastoral installation service for Rev. and Sister JaCorey Calloway April 21 at 2:30 p.m. The theme will be Jeremiah 3:15, II Timothy 4:1-8, A shepherd after God’s own heart preaching in season and out of season. Guest minister will be Rev. Bernard Harris, pastor of Mt. Lovely Missionary Baptist Church in Camp Hill, Ala.
•A “Back to Basics” VBS Training event will be held April 23 at 6:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Wetumpka. It will provide help for VBS teachers and leaders, regardless of the them to be used this year. Conference will cofer general VBS subjects, as well as LifeWay Theme “Colossal Coaster World.”

•One of Israel’s leading tour guides will present a media show on the Holy Land April 23 at 6:30 p.m. at Fannin Road Baptist Church in Montgomery. Information will also be available on an upcoming trip to the “Promised Land.” No admission. For info, call Billy Evans at 334-398-3650

•First United Methodist Church of Wetumpka will host a Rejuvenation Conference April 28. Guest speakers will be Walter and Dean Albritton. Scheduled speaking times are 8:15 a.m., 9:20 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. There will be a covered dish luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Bring a covered dish and join in.
•A dedication ceremony for Mt. Hebron East Baptist Church will be held April 28 at 10:30 a.m.

•The Proclaimers Quarter with Jeff Lanier from Columbus, Ga. will be in concert April 28 at Holtville Riverside Baptist Church. All are welcome.

•Servant Fellowship Ministries will celebrate Pastor Fay Day May 5 at 3 p.m. The event will honor Pastor Fay Leonard, evangelist, teacher and radio personality, for 25 years. Special guests will include Elder David and Evangelist Monica Powell and Greater Harvest Apostolic Church family, Montgomery; Pastor Troy Holley and First Baptist Church family, Wilsonville; The Gray Sisters of Decatur; and Mt. •A women’s self defense class will be held at New Home Missionary Baptist Church on Highway 14 in Wetumpka May 11 at 10 a.m. All donations will go to the Sunshine Center in Montgomery.

•First United Methodist Church Wetumpka will hold VBS June 24-28. The theme will be “Kingdom Rock.”

•Mulder Memorial United Methodist Church hosts a noon salad luncheon every third Thursday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Call 334-567-4225 for more information.

•Community Fellowshippers meet at Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Church every third Wednesday at 11 a.m. The gathering includes a devotion, program, prizes and a covered dish luncheon. Local pastors and families are encouraged to attend.

•Celebrate Recovery, which deals with life’s hurts, habits and hang-ups, holds meetings every Thursday at 6:15 p.m. at Santuck Baptist Church.

•Hope For Healing Grief Support Group meets the second Monday of each month at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church Tallassee.

•Need a bus ride to church? Healing Waters Church of God in Eclectic offers bus rides to church for anyone who would like to attend, but does not have transportation. Call Steve Roberson at 334-252-1575 at least 24 hours in advance. Sunday services are at 9 a.m. (prayer), 10 a.m. (Sunday School), 11 a.m. (worship) and 6 p.m. (worship). Wednesday services are at 6 p.m. (prayer) and 7 p.m. (worship).
