Samuel Rudolph Holley, 92, passed away at his Eclectic home on Thursday, May 2, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. May 5 at Mt. Hebron East Baptist Church with burial to follow in Mt. Gilead Cemetery with Gassett Funeral Home directing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Abe and Mattie Holley; son, Jack Clinton Holley, and brothers, Heflin O. Holley, Albert R. Holley and Herman Edward Holley.
He is survived by his wife Elsie Mae Colley Holley; daughters, Joan Etta (Robert) Newman, Dean (Bobby) Williams, and Sue Duck; brother, Byron W. Holley; sister Eunice Thompson; grandchildren, Steve (Christine) Williams, Holley (Jason) McGhee, Eric (Ashley) Newman, April Duck and Dusty (Shannon) Duck; step grandchild, Michael (Christy) Moncrief; great grandchildren, Sammy Duck, Cadance Reed, Abe and Eli McGhee; step great grandchildren Jade Bozeman, Ashton and Logan Geer.
Active pallbearers will be Steve Williams, Eric Newman, Dusty Duck, Jason McGhee, Michael Moncrief and Jimmy Ingram.
Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Colley, Bobby Dennis, Joe Holley, Woodie Holley, Edward Holley, Alton Thornton, Raybon Thornton, Bobby Thornton and fellow Gideons.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. May 4 at Gassett Funeral Home.
Flowers accepted or contributions may be made to Mt. Hebron East Baptist Church.
