Elmore County 4-H has two exciting events coming up this summer.
The first is 4-H Summer Career Camp. Youth will participate in a workforce and career development tour in different locations around the state. The camp will be held July 8-10 and 15-17.
This camp is designed for eighth and ninth graders going into the 2013-14 school year to experience a variety of career opportunities and industries. The cost is $75, which will cover meals, snacks, transportation and one overnight stay. To register, call the Elmore County Extension Office at 334-567-6301. Space is limited to the first 20.
The second event is Elmore County’s 4-H Summer Day Camp. This summer’s session will focus on teaching safe and exciting things to do when left alone for the day. Topics covered will include basic cooking, first aid, art, Netsmartz and self-entertainment
This camp will be held July 12, 19 and 26, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The $10 per day cost will cover drinks, snacks, supplies and lunch. Deadline to register is June 7. Space is limited, those interested are encouraged to register as soon as possible at the Elmore County Extension Office at 334- 567-6301.
