Mrs. Barbara Dianne Funderburk Hooks, a resident of Eclectic, was born Feb. 8, 1944, in Alexander City and passed away on Monday, June 3, 2013, at the age of 69.
The family will receive friends 12:30-2 p.m. June 6 at Gassett Funeral Home.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. June 6 at Gassett Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Gilead Cemetery with Gassett Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Hooks is survived by her husband of 34 years, J.D. Hooks Jr.; son, Ernie (Brenda) White; daughter, Michele White; step-daughter, Regina K. Hooks; sisters, Alice Fielding, Dorothy Lynch, and Mary Blankenship; sister-in-law, Faye Funderburk; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kyle and Deedie Funderburk; three brothers, Roy Curtis Funderburk, Harry Funderburk and Robert Wayne Funderburk; sister, Jessie Mae Harris; great-grandson, Trace White; and first husband, Norman White.
