Wenzig (6-2, 180, Senior; San Diego, Ca.) was second on the Hornets in 2012 in scoring with 62 points. He was 38-42 on PATs and 8-for-14 on field goal attempts. Wenzig made a season-long 46 yard attempt against Alabama A&M in the State Farm Magic City Classic. All CFPA recipients are selected exclusively based upon objective scientific rankings of the extent to which individual players increase the overall effectiveness of their teams. All players are eligible for awards at their respective positions; players are not preemptively eliminated from consideration. The winner will be announced January 8, 2014.

The Hornets will open the 2013 season at home against Jacksonville State Saturday, August 31 at 5 p.m. at the New ASU Stadium. Season tickets are on sale now by calling 334.229.4577.
