Wetumpka High School’s JROTC is planning an event which members hope will attract a cross-section of community support.
On Aug. 3, the group is sponsoring a cleanup at the school with the goal of involving a variety of helpers.
“We need volunteers to bring supplies such as planting tools, painting tools, power washers, weed eaters, lawn mowers and cleaning supplies,” said Sgt. Danny Hunter. “We want people in the community to come out and support their high school.”
The work day will begin at 7 a.m. and continue until 1 p.m. Free lunch and refreshments will be provided.
