•Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 96 Lightwood Rd., Deatsville, will host a pancake breakfast Aug. 24, 7 to 10 a.m. Breakfast will include pancakes, sausage or bacon, and orange juice. Cost is $5 per plate or $15 per family. The public is invited. Proceeds will go to the debt reduction fund.

•Antioch Baptist Church in Titus will hold Homecoming Aug. 25 at 10:30 a.m. with Dr. Perry Neal as guest speaker. Lunch will follow the services. Everyone is invited, especially former members. The church will also have revival Aug. 26 and 27 at 6:30 p.m.

•First Baptist Church of Eclectic will host a free Back to School Block Party Aug. 25, from 2 to 6 p.m. The event will offer a fun-filled afternoon of inflatables, food, games and prizes for the Eclectic community.

•Union Congregational Christian Church will host a benefit fish fry Aug. 25 for Jalisa Ridley. Plates are $7. Donations are also accepted.

•Everyone is invited to attend the third annual anniversary of the Foundation of Faith Holiness Church Present Day Ministry, 157 Hull St., Tallassee, on Aug. 25 at 3 p.m. Pastor if Elder Marvin Freeman. Overseer is Apostle Quenton Freeman. Come help magnify the Lord and exalt his name together.

•There will be a candlelight prayer service for C.J. Ledbetter Aug. 25 at 7 p.m. at Living Water Worship Center, 4718 Upper River Rd, Tallassee. Ledbetter has been fighting a tough battle the past few weeks. He was diagnosed with rare autoimmune disease in April. This disease has caused him many dangerous health issues. Join in this time of prayer to ask for strength, peace and healing.

•Former Miss Alabama Jamie Langley, who is now a television news anchor in Montgomery, will provide special music Aug. 25 at 9 a.m. at the Church in the Pines in Kowaliga. Pastor Steve Franklin of Birmingham will bring the message. Church in the Pines is a lakeside chapel newar Kowaliga Marina and a ministry of Children’s Harbor.

•Reeltown First Baptist Church will hold Community Seniors Day Aug. 28 from 11 a.m. to about 12:30 p.m. All seniors are invited to bring a covered dish and a guest. Betty Evers has games, fun and singing planned.

•Homecoming at Equality United Methodist Church will be Sept. 8. Special music will be presented by The Stephens Family at 10 a.m. Worship services will be at 11 a.m. with Rev. Johnny Mann bringing the morning message. Make plans to attend. Bring a covered dish – everyone is invited to stay for lunch at noon in the fellowship hall. The church is located on Highway 259 in Equality.

•Thelma Baptist Church Women’s Ministry will sponsor the Beth Moore 2013 Living Proof live simulcast Sept. 14, 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. The simulcast will feature Moore and worship leader Travis Cottrell. Seating is limited, so attendees should register and make payment at by Aug. 30. The simulcast will be viewed at Thelma Baptist Church, 810 Weoka Road in Wetumpka. Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. Cost is $15 and includes lunch. For questions, call the church office at 334-567-3665.
