Bluegrass festival seeks vendorsPublished 10:33am Thursday, August 29, 2013
The 13th annual Titus Bluegrass Festival is set for Sept. 28, and applications are being accepted for arts and crafts vendors, as well as other vendors. The festival will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the grounds of the Titus Community Center.
Each year more than 1,000 people attend the day-long family-centered event. Organizers are seeking creative exhibitors of all types of crafts who offer quality products. Cost for vendor booths is $20 each.
This year’s bands will include Southern Gentlemen, Clear Blue Sky, Fibergrass and Goat Hill String Band. The groups will provide continuous bluegrass, country and gospel music throughout the day.
Admission will be $5 for adults and children younger than 12 will be admitted free. Attendees should bring their own chairs.
Pets and alcohol are not allowed. Concessions will be available, as well as children’s activities.
The festival will be held in a shady grove on the grounds of the Titus Community Center.
Proceeds will be used for continued restoration and improvements to the center, which was built in 1928. The center is a focal point for community activities, such as wedding receptions, church parties, birthday and anniversary celebrations and more.
The Titus Community Center is located approximately 10 miles north of Wetumpka on U.S. Highway 231, then north on County Road 29.
