A Millbrook man is now facing an attempted murder charge after shooting at the car in which his ex-girlfriend and her 15-year-old daughter were traveling in an effort to elude the man.
William Lee Cole, 42, of Millbrook entered his ex-girlfriend’s home on Bond Road in Deatsville without permission Sunday afternoon stating he would kill her and her current boyfriend, according to an Elmore County Sheriff’s incident report.
Cole entered the house around 4:30 p.m. Sunday pushing past his 33-year-old ex-girlfriend to find her current boyfriend hiding in the bathroom.
The 45-year-old Montgomery man said Cole pointed a pistol at him and “made threats.”
The Montgomery man allegedly pulled out his pistol and shot Cole, grazing his left forearm.
As the ex-girlfriend was driving away from her home, Cole allegedly fired two shots into the rear of the vehicle.
Cole is being charged with attempted murder, first-degree burglary and two counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle.
He is being held in the Elmore County Jail on $50,000 bond.
