•New Style United Methodist Church will hold a church family yard sale Sept. 7 beginning at 6 a.m. Numerous items in good condition will be available for purchase. All proceeds will go toward the New Style UMC building fund. The church is located at 76729 Tallassee Hwy., Wetumpka. Rev. John Bratcher is the pastor.

•Homecoming at Equality United Methodist Church will be Sept. 8. Special music will be presented by The Stephens Family at 10 a.m. Worship services will be at 11 a.m. with Rev. Johnny Mann bringing the morning message. Make plans to attend. Bring a covered dish – everyone is invited to stay for lunch at noon in the fellowship hall. The church is located on Highway 259 in Equality.

•Carrville Baptist Church will host a first responder dinner Sept. 10 at 6:30 p.m. If any first responder would like to attend, call the church office at 334-283-2221 before Sept. 5.

•Women of God Ministries will present its first U2 Rally Sept. 13-15 in Clanton. This event is free to the public. Times: Friday, 6:30 p.m.; Saturday begins at 8 a.m. and singing starts at 10 a.m.; Sunday – 10 a.m. This is an outdoor event, so bring lawn chairs and blankets. There will be numerous vendors with concessions, arts and crafts, jewelry, face painting, etc. Performers will be Shelia Ray Charles (daughter of legendary singer/songwriter Ray Charles), Infamous, Beyond The Clouds,The Dennis Family, Surviving The Fall, Brittany Wakefield, Ryan Fales, Hopes on Hold, Bethel CR, Final Harvest, Battle Cry, Tina Wakefield, Arkangels, David Palmer, Rick Camp and Embers In Ashes. There will also be a Kids Corral Saturday ($5 wrist bands good for all day) with inflatables and other activities. •Thelma Baptist Church Women’s Ministry will sponsor the Beth Moore 2013 Living Proof live simulcast Sept. 14, from 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. The simulcast will feature Moore and worship leader Travis Cottrell. Seating is limited, so attendees should register and make payment at www.tlifeonline.com by Aug. 30. The simulcast will be viewed at Thelma Baptist Church, 810 Weoka Road in Wetumpka. •Reeltown First Baptist Church will hold a special Back to Church Sunday celebration Sept. 15 during 8:30 and 11 a.m. worship services. These Back to Church services will kick off a special Gather the Family Conference Sept. 15-18 at 6:30 p.m. nightly with singer, speaker and musical ventriloquist Lee Pitts and Nicky. •Rodgers Chapel AME Zion Church invites everyone to its annual revival Sept. 18-20 at 7 p.m. each day. The theme will be Come Let Us Seek the Lord (Isaiah 55:6). Plan to join in the quest to revive the church for service.

•Ridge Church will hold its official launch day Sept. 29 at 10:30 a.m. at the Wetumpka YMCA on Red Eagle Drive. Everyone is welcome.

•Mack Daugherty, Jerry and Carol Daugherty, Suzanne Orr and Gerrie Hayes will provide a worship service of music at Union United Methodist Church Sept. 29 at 10:30 a.m. The service will be followed by a covered dish lunch.

•Santuck Baptist Church will hold its Fall Celebration Sept. 29-Oct. 2. Guest preacher will be Joey Hill and guest worship leader will be Todd Stearns. Services will be Sept. 29 at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.; Sept. 29 at 6 p.m. (kids night); Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. (friends and family night); Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. (Sunday School night); and Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. (youth night).

•Mulder Memorial United Methodist Church hosts a noon salad luncheon the third Thursday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Call 334-567-4225 for more information.

•Community Fellowshippers meet at Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Church every third Wednesday at 11 a.m. The gathering includes a devotion, program, prizes and a covered dish luncheon. Local pastors and families are encouraged to attend.

•First Presbyterian Church of Wetumpka holds a fellowship lunch every third Sunday after worship.
•Celebrate Recovery, which deals with life’s hurts, habits and hang-ups, holds meetings every Thursday at 6:15 p.m. at Santuck Baptist Church.

•Need a bus ride to church? Healing Waters Church of God in Eclectic offers bus rides to church for anyone who would like to attend, but does not have transportation. Call Steve Roberson at 334-252-1575 at least 24 hours in advance. Sunday services are at 9 a.m. (prayer), 10 a.m. (Sunday School), 11 a.m. (worship) and 6 p.m. (worship). Wednesday services are at 6 p.m. (prayer) and 7 p.m. (worship).

•Friendship Closet, a ministry of Friendship Baptist Church, is open the first Tuesday of each month from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Those who need clothes, shoes, etc. for women, men and children, may visit.

•Hope For Healing Grief Support Group meets the second Monday of each month at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church Tallassee.

•River’s Edge Flea Market is open every Saturday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. at East Tallassee United Methodist Church. All vendors welcome – new items, old items, crafts, youth groups, ball teams, baked goods, produce and food. Various booth costs available.
