Second Wetumpka school day interrupted in less than a week

James Audrey Lett, a U.S. Army WWII Veteran and a lifelong resident of Eclectic, passed away Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at the age of 90.
The family received friends from 2-3 p.m. Sept. 15 at Rushenville Baptist Church.
Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Sept. 15 at the church with the Rev. Ron Estes officiating. Interment with Masonic rites followed at Sheppard Cemetery.
Mr. Lett is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Kathryn Lett; son, James A. “Buddy” Lett Jr.; daughter, Karyn Lett (John) Perez; granddaughters, Dana Sawyer, Jessica Perez, and Hannah Perez; great-granddaughters, Parker Sawyer, Riley Ann Sawyer, and Christina Layne Estes; sisters, Carrie Nell Lanier and Jessie Dean (Orris) Varner; and sister-in-law, Oreva Lett.
He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Lett and brothers, Nolen Lett and George Lett.
