Ridge Church will hold its official launch day Sept. 29 at 10:30 a.m. at the Wetumpka YMCA on Red Eagle Drive. Everyone is welcome.


•Mack Daugherty, Jerry and Carol Daugherty, Suzanne Orr and Gerrie Hayes will provide a worship service of music at Union United Methodist Church Sept. 29 at 10:30 a.m. The service will be followed by a covered dish lunch.


Rushenville Baptist Church on Georgia Road in Eclectic will hold Homecoming Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. Bro. Johnny Fox will preach and Heartline from Prattville will sing. Lunch will follow worship. Bro. Ron Estes is pastor.


Seman Congregational Church will hold its Fifth Sunday Singing Sept. 29 at 6 p.m. Revelations Four will sing. Everyone is welcome. The church is located on Highway 9.

Santuck Baptist Church will hold its Fall Celebration Sept. 29-Oct. 2. Guest preacher will be Joey Hill and guest worship leader will be Todd Stearns. Services will be Sept. 29 at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.; Sept. 29 at 6 p.m. (kids night); Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. (friends and family night); Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. (Sunday School night); and Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. (youth night).


First United Methodist Church of Wetumpka will host its House of Holidays bazaar Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.


Grace Baptist Church will host a revival meeting Oct. 13-18. Sunday School is at 10 a.m. and Sunday services will begin at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Week night services will begin at 7 p.m. each day. Guest preachers will be Pastor Craig Holmes and Pastor Tommy Carlisle. There will also be special singing by the McCormick family. A nursery is provided for all services.

•The Elmore Baptist Association will celebrate its 100th anniversary Oct. 20 at First Baptist Church of Wetumpka. The meeting will begin at 4:30 p.m. with a business session, followed by supper/fellowship at 5:30 p.m. and celebration and worship at 6:30 p.m.


First United Methodist Church of Wetumpka will host Hallow Him on Oct. 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church.


•The fourth annual Musical Salute to Veterans will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Wetumpka on Nov. 11. Everyone is invited, particularly veterans. Trinity Episcopal Church is on U.S. Highway 231, across from McDonald’s. For more information, contact Rev. Bob Henderson at 334-567-7582 or


•HorsePlay Drill Team has planned a special drama presentation and lunch Nov. 17 after Brush Poppers Cowboy Church service at Iron Horse Ranch, 3214 Weoka Rd., Wetumpka.


Mulder Memorial United Methodist Church hosts a noon salad luncheon the third Thursday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Call 334-567-4225 for more information.


•Community Fellowshippers meet at Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Church every third Wednesday at 11 a.m. The gathering includes a devotion, program, prizes and a covered dish luncheon. Local pastors and families are encouraged to attend.


First Presbyterian Church of Wetumpka holds a fellowship lunch every third Sunday after worship.


•Celebrate Recovery, which deals with life’s hurts, habits and hang-ups, holds meetings every Thursday at 6:15 p.m. at Santuck Baptist Church.


•Need a bus ride to church? Healing Waters Church of God in Eclectic offers bus rides to church for anyone who would like to attend, but does not have transportation. Call Steve Roberson at 334-252-1575 at least 24 hours in advance. Sunday services are at 9 a.m. (prayer), 10 a.m. (Sunday School), 11 a.m. (worship) and 6 p.m. (worship). Wednesday services are at 6 p.m. (prayer) and 7 p.m. (worship).


•River’s Edge Flea Market is open every Saturday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. at East Tallassee United Methodist Church. All vendors welcome – new items, old items, crafts, youth groups, ball teams, baked goods, produce and food. Various booth costs available.
