First United Methodist Church of Wetumpka will host its House of Holidays bazaar Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.


•Central Alabama Southern Gospel Music Association (CASGMA) will hold its annual convention and awards show Oct. 12 at 6 p.m. at Coosada Baptist Church on Kennedy Avenue in Coosada. CASGMA artists will perform with special guest Janelle Woodard from Millbrook. No admission charge. Everyone is welcome. For information, call Tim Stough at 334-361-1489.


Balm of Gilead Church, 5187 Balm Road in Wetumpka, will hold Homecoming Oct. 13 at 10 a.m. Guest singers will be Joe and Pat Yearwood. Joe Yearwood wll bring the morning message. The service will be followed by a covered dish lunch. Everyone welcome.


Wetumpka Church of Christ will hold Friends and Family Day Oct. 13. Program will be “The Family as a System” with Dr. William Battles, Christian Behavioral Education and Research. Battles, a retired medical doctor and licensed psychiatrist, lives in Douglasville, Ga. Topics: “The Functional Family,” ”Raising Faithful Children and the Joy of Godly Parenting” and “The Successful Servant.” Bible Class at 9 a.m., morning worship at 10 a.m., congregational luncheon at 11 a.m. and evening worship at 1 p.m.


Claud Independent Methodist Church will hold a revival Oct. 13-16 with Rev. Paul Brown.


Grace Baptist Church will host a revival meeting Oct. 13-18. Sunday School is at 10 a.m. and Sunday services will begin at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Week night services will begin at 7 p.m. each day. Guest preachers will be Pastor Craig Holmes and Pastor Tommy Carlisle. There will also be special singing by the McCormick family. A nursery is provided for all services.


Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 96 Lightwood Rd. in Deatsville will hold a Live and Silent Auction Oct. 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. There will be many items and services. A fried chicken dinner will be available for $7 adults, $5 grades 7-12 and $2 grade 6 and younger. A family of four (two adults and two children) can eat for $20, with additional family plates $3 each.


Providence Primitive Baptist Church in Kent will holds its Fall Meeting Oct. 17-18 at 7 p.m. each day. Homecoming will be Oct. 20 at 10:30 a.m. with lunch in the annex following the morning service. There will be no Sunday night service that day. Elder Mike Newman of Metter Church, Metter, Ga. will be the guest speaker.


•The Elmore Baptist Association will celebrate its 100th anniversary Oct. 20 at First Baptist Church of Wetumpka. The business meeting will be at 4:30 p.m., followed by supper/fellowship at 5:30 p.m. and celebration and worship at 6:30 p.m.


First United Methodist Church of Wetumpka will host its Fall Festival, Hallow Him, Oct. 27, 4 to 7 p.m., at the church. The free event will include popcorn, hot dogs, hamburgers, cotton candy, duck pond, go fish, face painting, inflatable bounce house, bottle ring toss, costume contest and more. The annual FUMC Youth Boston Butt Sale will also begin Oct. 27. Butts are $30 each and pick up will be Dec. 7. All funds will go toward youth programming and missions.


Bethel Worship Center in Wetumpka will host its annual Trunk or Treat Fall Fest Oct. 27 at 4 p.m. Free hot dogs and drinks for the family. Candy and prize drawings for sixth grade and younger – kids grand prize an iPad Mini. Adult prize drawing for seventh grade and older. More activities for children include games, inflatables, costume characters and fun. Bring the whole family. For more information, call the church at 334-567-5754.


•Community Fellowshippers will not meet in October. Next meeting will be Nov. 20 at 11 a.m. at Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
