•Calvary Baptist Church, Wetumpka, offers a new sermon series for October – “Relationships by the Book.” Bro. Anthony Rhodes will preach Sundays at 10:30 a.m.

•Claud Independent Methodist Church will hold a revival Oct. 13-16 with Rev. Paul Brown.

•Grace Baptist Church will host a revival meeting Oct. 13-18. Sunday School is at 10 a.m. and Sunday services will begin at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Week night services will begin at 7 p.m. each day. Guest preachers will be Pastor Craig Holmes and Pastor Tommy Carlisle. There will also be special singing by the McCormick family. A nursery is provided for all services.

•Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 96 Lightwood Rd. in Deatsville will hold a Live and Silent Auction Oct. 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. There will be many items and services, along with a fried chicken dinner available for $7 for adults, $5 for grades 7-12 and $2 for grade 6 and younger. A family of four (two adults and two children) can eat for $20, with additional family plates $3 each.

•Providence Primitive Baptist Church in Kent will holds its Fall Meeting Oct. 17-18 at 7 p.m. each day. Homecoming will be Oct. 20 at 10:30 a.m. with lunch in the annex following the morning service. There will be no Sunday night service that day. Elder Mike Newman of Metter Church, Metter, Ga. will be the guest speaker.

•The Elmore County Singing Convention will meet at Cedarwood Community Church, Highway 231 North in Wallsboro, Oct. 19 at 6:30 p.m. Guest singers will be Coleman Remix from Marbury. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy a time of great singing and fellowship. Books available for all to pick favorite songs/hymns. Refreshment and fellowship will following the singing. •The Elmore Baptist Association will celebrate its 100th anniversary Oct. 20 at First Baptist Church of Wetumpka. The business meeting will be at 4:30 p.m., followed by supper/fellowship at 5:30 p.m. and celebration and worship at 6:30 p.m.

•Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Slapout will hold a church-wide yard sale and estate sale Oct. 25, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m.; and Oct. 26, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The sale will be inside at the church at 96 Lightwood Road and will be held rain or shine.

•First Presbyterian Church of Wetumpka will host Trunk or Treat Oct. 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. Everyone welcome.

•First United Methodist Church of Wetumpka will host its Fall Festival, Hallow Him, on Oct. 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church. The free event will include popcorn, hot dogs and hamburgers, cotton candy, duck pond, go fish, face painting, inflatable bounce house, bottle ring toss, costume contest and more. The annual FUMC Youth Boston Butt Sale will also begin Oct. 27. Butts are $30 each and pick up will be Dec. 7. All funds will go toward youth programming and missions.

•Bethel Worship Center in Wetumpka will host its annual Trunk or Treat Fall Fest Oct. 27 at 4 p.m. There will be free hot dogs and drinks for the whole family. Candy and prize drawings for sixth grade and younger – grand prize for kids an iPad Mini. Adult prize drawing for seventh grade and older. More activities for children include games, inflatables, costume characters and fun. Bring the whole family. For more information, call the church at 334-567-5754.

•Church at the Brook in Millbrook will host Trunk or Treat Oct. 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. Free food and prizes with jump blocks.

•Community Fellowshippers will not meet in October. Next meeting will be Nov. 20 at 11 a.m. at Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

•Central, Union and Pierce Chapel United Methodist Churches will have fall revival services Nov. 10 at Pierce Chapel UMC. David Larch of the Larch Family will lead the morning service which starts at 11 a.m. There will be a fellowship meal after the morning service. The evening service will start at 4:30 p.m. Rev. Presley Cousins of Plantersville UMC will lead the evening service. The gospel group Branded for Christ will sing at both services. Everyone welcome.

•The fourth annual Musical Salute to Veterans will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Wetumpka on Nov. 11. Everyone is invited, particularly veterans. Trinity Episcopal Church is on U.S. Highway 231, across from McDonald’s. For more information, contact Rev. Bob Henderson at 334-567-7582 or

•HorsePlay Drill Team has planned a special drama presentation and lunch Nov. 17 after Brush Poppers Cowboy Church service at Iron Horse Ranch, 3214 Weoka Rd., Wetumpka.

•Mulder Memorial United Methodist Church hosts a noon salad luncheon the third Thursday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Call 334-567-4225 for more information.

•First Presbyterian Church of Wetumpka holds a fellowship lunch every third Sunday after worship.

•Need a bus ride to church? Healing Waters Church of God in Eclectic offers bus rides to church for anyone who would like to attend, but does not have transportation. Call Steve Roberson at 334-252-1575 at least 24 hours in advance. Sunday services are at 9 a.m. (prayer), 10 a.m. (Sunday School), 11 a.m. (worship) and 6 p.m. (worship). Wednesday services are at 6 p.m. (prayer) and 7 p.m. (worship).
