ACTFest is held each year in association with the Alabama Conference on Theatre, which is an umbrella organization that promotes theatre statewide. In addition to competition performances, ACTFest includes workshops on a variety of theatre-related topics. This year’s program will include methods to increase revenue, raising awareness of theatre in the community, a directors panel discussion and acting through the expressive actor method. There will also be a closing reception and awards presentation.

“The Depot is thrilled to open their doors again to other community theatres across the state,” said Kristy Meanor, Depot executive director.

Meanor said competition performance times are approximate and will depend on actual running times of the shows and their adjudication. Patrons are advised to be at the theatre at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled start times.
