Elmore County Sheriff’s investigators are searching for clues as to who blasted out at least five windows an Elmore business with a shotgun Thursday night.

Investigators found collected 18 shotgun shells around Elmore Tire on the 500 block of Alabama Highway 143 after the owner of the business was called to location just after 9 p.m.

“Five windows were shot out as well as signs of shotgun blasts to two garage bay doors,” said Chief Deputy Ricky Lowery.

At least eight flood lights were shot out at the business.

Lowery said there didn’t seem to be any signs of entry into the business, and no  suspects have been developed as of yet.

“We are still investigating and pursuing leads at this time,” Lowery said.

If anyone has any additional information regarding the incident, they are asked to call the Elmore County Sheriff’s Department at 567-5227.
