Mr. James Britt, 70, of Eclectic, passed away Nov. 16, 2013. He was born Dec. 22, 1942.
Visitation was 12-2 p.m. Nov. 18 followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Daniel Rhodes officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Wylodene Britt; stepsons, Barry Foshee, Andrew Foshee and Brett Foshee and six grandchildren.
Mr. Britt served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1964 during the Vietnam War.
He was employed with Alabama Power and retired after many years of service.
He was known as a gentle giant by his friends because he was a man of his word and honest in all his dealings.
His hobbies were motorcycle riding and working in his shop on “old” cars.
