Emma Francis Johnston Justiss, passed away Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at the age of 95.
She was born Jan. 30, 1918, in Elmore County and preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Fannie Johnston, her husband, John Wesley Justiss, her son, John Douglas Justiss, and siblings, Owen Johnston, Aubrey Johnston, Curtis Johnston and sister Mary Forbus.
She leaves behind a daughter-in-law, Alice M. Justiss, grandchildren, Douglas L. Justiss (Sarah), Vicki L. Grizzell (Mike), Wesley L. Justiss (Paige), great grandchildren, Jeremy J. Justiss, Richard D. Goodson, Autumn N. Justiss, John Wesley Justiss, and Olivia Justiss, Step-great grandchildren, Emily Gray and Grayson Gray, great-great grandchildren, Joshua Cayton Manchester and Rebekah Jayde Smith and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Emma Justiss, known to family and friends as maw maw was a faithful member of Tunnell Baptist Church for over 50 years and served as long time church treasurer and pianist.
Pallbearers will be Douglas L. Justiss, Lance Justiss, Jeremy J. Justiss, Richard D. Goodson, Wesley Justiss and Rodger Justiss.
Visitation will be held at Tunnell Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with funeral to follow at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 22 with the Rev. Wayne Smith officiating. Burial will follow immediately after service in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Tunnell Baptist Church or Tunnell Baptist Church cemetery fund.
