Trinity Episcopal Church in Wetumpka will hold Ash Wednesday services March 5. Imposition of Ashes and Holy Eucharist will be at 12:10 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the church.

 

Cedarwood Community Church will hold an Ash Wednesday communion service March 5. The service will begin at 6 p.m. and the Holy Eucharist will be served. Mountain View Baptist Church will hold Upward Soccer Spring 2014 League evaluations March 8 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The league is open to children from age four through sixth grade. Cost is $10 for returning players who played Upward Soccer 2013 Fall League anywhere in the area. $55 for early sign-up and $60 for late registration. Ridge Church in Wetumpka will hold Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University (FPU) beginning March 12 at 6 p.m. The nine-week course provides families and individuals with practical tools to gain control of their finances and set themselves up for long-term financial success. The class will meet once a week where a different lesson is taught via DVD followed by a small-group discussion. Lessons include budgeting, relationships and money, getting out of debt, saving for emergencies and investing. Ridge Church is located at 200 Red Eagle Drive. •The Legendary Squire Parsons will appear at Trinity Memorial Baptist Church on Old Selma Road in Montgomery March 14. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. There is no charge for admission but a love offering will be taken. For any questions, call Tom Snowden at 334-285-5112.

Antioch Baptist Church in Titus will have a fish fry March 15 beginning at 4 p.m. Plates will be $8 and proceeds will benefit the children/youth fund. Everyone is invited.

 

•A Relay for Life Gospel Singing will be held April 5 at 6 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Wetumpka. Featured groups will be Forgiven Heart of Wetumpka and The Good News Quartet of Opp. Pastor Gerald Wood will emcee. All proceeds will go to the Jessica’s Cancer Busters Relay for Life team. Robinson Springs United Methodist Church will hold Midnight Rock for grades 3-6 April 11-12 from 6 to 8 p.m. Register online at rsum.org.

 

Central Alabama Southern Gospel Music Association (CASGMA) will present its 21st Annual Convention and Awards Show April 12 at 6 p.m. at the Millbrook Theatre on Main Street in Millbrook. The event will feature CASGMA artists along with special guest singer, songwriter and evangelist Jason Steege from Dothan. No admission charge, but a love offering will be taken at the door. First United Methodist Church of Wetumpka will hold its Rock N Roll Easter Event April 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the church.

 

Robinson Springs United Methodist Church will hold an Easter Egg Hunt April 13 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. for children in second grade and younger. There will be story time, games and an egg hunt.
