Deatsville man killed when stuck by vehicle

A Deatsville man, who was walking along U.S. Highway 31, was struck and killed by a vehicle around the 199 mile marker at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday.

Edward Deloit, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene Wednesday night after he was hit by a 2001 Nissan Quest, which was traveling southbound on U.S. 31.

No further information was provided by Alabama State Troopers.
