Eclectic police seeking man allegedly harassing women at area businesses

Eclectic Police confirmed Friday that they’d like to have a chat with a man reported to have harassed women at a number of area businesses.

Eclectic Police Chief Robert Head said a Tallassee man named Michael Foster was reported to have been “approaching women and trying to get them to go home with him.” Head said women had reported the harassment at Piggly Wiggly and D&R Convenience Store in Eclectic, as well as the Wetumpka Walmart.

Head advised women to be on the lookout for Foster and to contact the EPD immediately if the white male is spotted. The EPD’s number is 334-541-2148.

A picture taken by one resident at Walmart already attracted more than 80 comments on the Elmore County Neighborhood Watchers’ website. Head said police do not have immediate plans to charge Foster, but would like to discuss his actions because they are unsettling to female residents.

“We’d like to have a chat with him,” Head said.

According to the post on Facebook, he asked a female resident “where I live and told me he could get me a job at the casino.”

“Don’t talk to him,” she posted. “He was tossed out by Walmart management, but he keeps coming back.”
