Ridge Church in Wetumpka will hold Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University (FPU) beginning March 12 at 6 p.m. The nine-week course provides families and individuals with practical tools to gain control of their finances and set themselves up for long-term financial success. The class will meet once a week where a different lesson is taught via DVD followed by a small-group discussion. Lessons include budgeting, relationships and money, getting out of debt, saving for emergencies and investing. Ridge Church is located at 200 Red Eagle Drive. •The Legendary Squire Parsons will appear at Trinity Memorial Baptist Church on Old Selma Road in Montgomery March 14. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. There is no charge for admission but a love offering will be taken. For any questions, call Tom Snowden at 334-285-5112.

 

•The Elmore County Singing Convention will meet at Cedarwood Community Church March 15 at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to come and sing favorite songs and hymns. Antioch Baptist Church in Titus will have a fish fry March 15 beginning at 4 p.m. Plates will be $8 and proceeds will benefit the children/youth fund. Everyone is invited.

Elmore United Methodist Church will host a gospel singing March 29 at 6:30 p.m. featuring Heartline. A love offering will be collected. The church is located at 40 Hatchett St. in Elmore.

 

•A Relay for Life Gospel Singing will be held April 5 at 6 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Wetumpka. Featured groups will be Forgiven Heart of Wetumpka and The Good News Quartet of Opp. Pastor Gerald Wood will emcee. All proceeds will go to the Jessica’s Cancer Busters Relay for Life team. New Home Baptist Church of Titus will host a movie night April 5 at 7 p.m. The movie will be “Grace Unplugged.” Come and bring a friend.

 

Robinson Springs United Methodist Church will hold Midnight Rock for grades 3-6 April 11-12 from 6 to 8 p.m. Register online at rsum.org.

 

Central Alabama Southern Gospel Music Association (CASGMA) will present its 21st Annual Convention and Awards Show April 12 at 6 p.m. at the Millbrook Theatre on Main Street in Millbrook. The event will feature CASGMA artists and special guest singer, songwriter and evangelist Jason Steege from Dothan. No admission charge, but a love offering will be taken at the door. First United Methodist Church of Wetumpka will hold its Rock N Roll Easter Event April 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the church.

 

Robinson Springs United Methodist Church will hold an Easter Egg Hunt April 13 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. for children in second grade and younger. There will be story time, games and an egg hunt.

 

•Community Fellowshippers meet at Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Church every third Wednesday at 11 a.m. The gathering includes devotion, program, prizes and covered dish luncheon. Local pastors and families encouraged to attend.

 

Mulder Memorial United Methodist Church hosts a noon salad luncheon the third Thursday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Call 334-567-4225 for more information.

 

First Presbyterian Church of Wetumpka holds a fellowship lunch every third Sunday after worship.

 

•Need a bus ride to church? Healing Waters Church of God in Eclectic offers bus rides to church for anyone who would like to attend, but does not have transportation. Call Steve Roberson at 334-252-1575 at least 24 hours in advance. Sunday services are at 9 a.m. (prayer), 10 a.m. (Sunday School), 11 a.m. (worship) and 6 p.m. (worship). Wednesday services are at 6 p.m. (prayer) and 7 p.m. (worship).
