“(Hilton’s) whereabouts right now are unknown,” Head said. “We’ve been told he ran to the state of Georgia. We want to get our hands on him.”

Items stolen in the burglary included a number of rifles, a flatscreen television and a weed-trimmer.

“We’re especially concerned about the firearms,” he said.

The Elmore County Sheriff’s Department confirmed Hilton had been arrested multiple times, most recently on charges of possession of burglary instruments.

Some of the stolen property was found at Hilton’s residence, which is on the 600 block of North College, Head said.

Anyone with information on Hilton’s whereabouts are asked to call the EPD at 334-541-2148. Any information will be held confidentially, he said.
