•The Elmore County Convention Singing will meet at Cedarwood Community Church in Wetumpka May 17 at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to come and sing favorite songs and hymns.  Book available for to select songs. •The Mercy Seat Church Of God and Jubilee Christian Fellowship will host a benefit gospel singing for Jacob Epstein, who was critically injured in an accident in March. The concert will be May 17 at 6 p.m. at the South Alabama District Congregational Holiness Church facilities at 2443 U.S. Highway 231 in Deatsville. Artists for the concert will be Final Harvest, Beyond the Clouds, Calvin and Stephanie Thornton, Bethany Pate and The Dennis Family. For more information, contact Bro. Calvary Baptist Church in Wetumpka will hold Graduate Day May 18, recognizing kindergarten graduates as well as high school graduates during our morning worship service beginning at 10:30 a.m.

 

Centerpoint Fellowship Church in Wetumpka will open May 18 in the Bienville Square Shopping Center on U.S. Highway 231. Worship service time will be at 9:35 a.m. Come and bring a friend.

 

Holtville Riverside Baptist Church will have a dedication service May 18 at 10:30 a.m. for the newly-completed family life center (Sanders building). Everyone is welcome. There will be lunch after the service. Christian illusionist Jimmy Adamson will perform at 6 p.m. with ice cream to follow.

 

Healing Waters Church of God, 1639 Kowaliga Road in Eclectic, will hold revival May 18 at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. and May 19-21 at 7 p.m. each day. Speaker will be Rick J. Lairsey, national evangelist and founder of Living Word Ministries Inc. For questions, call the church office at 334-541-3051.

 

Watson Chapel Congregational Church on East Cotton Road in Eclectic will hold revival May 19-21 at 6:30 p.m. each day. Speaker will be Rev. Dana Miller of Union Methodist Church. There will also be special music. Everyone is invited.

 

Calvary Baptist Church in Wetumpka will host an old-fashioned Sunday May 25, complete with favorite hymns and more. Following the morning service there will be a hamburger/hot dog cookout. Sunday School Begins at 9:30 a.m. and worship at 10:30 a.m.

 

Balm of Gilead Church, 5187 Balm Road, will hold its annual 4th Sunday Singing May 25 beginning at 10 a.m. Guest singers will be Joe and Pat Yearwood. Lunch will be served at noon.

 

Antioch Baptist Church in Weoka will hold the annual Dolly Boshell singing (and supper) May 31. Meal will begin at 5:30 p.m. and singing at 6:30 p.m. Special guests will be the Larch Family and Forgiven Heart.

 

New Harmony Baptist Church will hold Homecoming June 8. Music by Ray and Rhonda Hedley from 10 to 11 a.m. Preaching from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Lunch on the grounds following the service.

Santuck Baptist Church, 7250 Central Plank Road, will offer Vacation Bible School June 9-13, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. each day. Registration will be available soon and is open to those who have completed kindergarden-sixth grade.

 

Robinson Springs United Methodist Church will hold Vacation Bible School “Kickin’ It Old School” June 9-12 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Open to children from preschool to those who have completed fifth grade. First Presbyterian Church of Wetumpka will host Family Vacation Bible School June 23-27 from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. each evening.

 

•Elmore County Hispanic Vacation Bible School will be held July 21-25, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Thelma Baptist Church. All Elmore Baptist churches are encouraged to unite in a single evangelistic effort to reach out to the local Hispanic community. Needs include transportation/drivers to pick up students; bilingual and English speaking volunteers for teaching, recreation and crafts; meals for each day of VBS; and prayers. •Community Fellowshippers meet at Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Church every third Wednesday at 11 a.m. The gathering includes devotion, program, prizes and covered dish luncheon. Local pastors and families encouraged to attend.

 

Mulder Memorial United Methodist Church hosts a noon salad luncheon the third Thursday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Call 334-567-4225 for more information.
