Antioch Baptist Church in Weoka will hold the annual Dolly Boshell singing (and supper) May 31. Meal will begin at 5:30 p.m. and singing at 6:30 p.m. Special guests will be the Larch Family and Forgiven Heart.

 

Wetumpka Church of Christ’s Vacation Bible School will be June 2-5, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. each day. This year’s theme is Bible Boot Camp-The Armor of. All are invited.

 

Thelma Baptist Church will hold Vacation Bible School June 2-6, from 9 a.m to 12 p.m. each day. VBS is open to children who have completed K4 through sixth grade. Classes will dig into God’s Word for clues, joining the Agency D3 Team and Discover, Decide, Defend the Truth. Register online at www.tlifeonline.com.

 

Redland Road Church of Christ in Wetumpka will hold Vacation Bible School June 2-7.  The theme will be The Race Is On!-Running With Jesus Every Day. Classes (ages 2 years old through adult) will be Monday-Friday, 7 to 8:30 p.m. Supper and awards will be on Saturday at 5 p.m.  Everyone is welcome.

 

Calvary Baptist Church Child Development Center and Calvary Baptist Church Children’s Ministries will hold a Summer of Fun Day Camp June 2-Aug. 1 each day from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The camp will include field trips, daily events and more. New Harmony Baptist Church will hold Homecoming June 8. Music by Ray and Rhonda Hedley from 10 to 11 a.m. Preaching from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Lunch on the grounds following the service.

Santuck Baptist Church, 7250 Central Plank Road, will offer Vacation Bible School June 9-13, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. each day. Registration will be available soon and is open to those who have completed kindergarden-sixth grade.

 

Robinson Springs United Methodist Church will hold Vacation Bible School “Kickin’ It Old School” June 9-12 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Open to children from preschool to those who have completed fifth grade. Bethlehem East Baptist Church, 7561 Upper River Road in Tallassee, will hold Vacation Bible School June 9-13 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. each day. VBS kickoff will be June 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

 

Calvary Baptist Church in Wetumpka will hold a Community Night of Fun June 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be music, games, refreshments and more. This is a free outdoor event. For information, call 334-567-4729.

 

•There will be a pancake breakfast June 15 at 8 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Wetumpka to raise fund for Children’s Camp. Cost of breakfast is a donation. The church will also have a Father’s Day celebration and children’s musical June 15 at 10:30 a.m.

 

Eclectic United Methodist Church will hold Vacation Bible School June 16-20, with graduation June 22. The theme is “Weird Animals, Where Jesus’ Love is One of a Kind.”

 

First Presbyterian Church of Wetumpka will host Family Vacation Bible School June 23-27 from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. each evening.

 

•Elmore County Hispanic Vacation Bible School will be held July 21-25, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Thelma Baptist Church. All Elmore Baptist churches are encouraged to unite in a single evangelistic effort to reach out to the local Hispanic community. Needs include transportation/drivers to pick up students; bilingual and English speaking volunteers for teaching, recreation and crafts; meals for each day of VBS; and prayers. •Community Fellowshippers meet at Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Church every third Wednesday at 11 a.m. The gathering includes devotion, program, prizes and covered dish luncheon. Local pastors and families encouraged to attend.

 

Mulder Memorial United Methodist Church hosts a noon salad luncheon the third Thursday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Call 334-567-4225 for more information.

 

First Presbyterian Church of Wetumpka holds a fellowship lunch every third Sunday after worship.

 

•Celebrate Recovery, which deals with life’s hurts, habits and hang-ups, holds meetings every Thursday at 6:15 p.m. at Santuck Baptist Church.

 

•Need a bus ride to church? Healing Waters Church of God in Eclectic offers bus rides to church for anyone who would like to attend, but does not have transportation. Call Steve Roberson at 334-252-1575 at least 24 hours in advance. Sunday services are at 9 a.m. (prayer), 10 a.m. (Sunday School), 11 a.m. (worship) and 6 p.m. (worship). Wednesday services are at 6 p.m. (prayer) and 7 p.m. (worship).

 

•Friendship Closet, a ministry of Friendship Baptist Church, is open the first Tuesday of each month from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Those who need clothes, shoes, etc. for women, men and children, may visit.

 

•Hope For Healing Grief Support Group meets the second Monday of each month at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Tallassee.

 

•River’s Edge Flea Market is open every Saturday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. at East Tallassee United Methodist Church. All vendors welcome – new items, old items, crafts, youth groups, ball teams, baked goods, produce and food. Various booth costs available.
