Rev. James Earl “Jim” Hankins, 84, a resident of Wetumpka, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. June 7 at Wetumpka Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. June 7 at the Wetumpka Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Thad Hankins and Jason Glenn officiating.
Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. June 7 in Greenwood Cemetery with Wetumpka Memorial Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include son, Thad Hankins (Gigi); three daughters, Nancy Sanford (Tommy); Becky Barrett (Jimmy); Kathy Smith; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brother, Larry Hankins (Ann) and two sisters, Janet Mitchell (Mitch) and Christine Miles.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Dorothy Louise Hankins.
Rev. Hankins pastured churches in Elmore County for over 40 years and retired from Holtville Riverside Baptist Church.
