•There will be a pancake breakfast June 15 at 8 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Wetumpka to raise fund for Children’s Camp. Cost of breakfast is a donation. The church will also have a Father’s Day celebration and children’s musical June 15 at 10:30 a.m.


•The Cavaliers Quartet, from Shelbyville, Tennessee, will be at Cedarwood Community Church on Father’s Day, June 15, at 10 a.m. This will be the fourth time that this Top 40 Southern Gospel Quartet has visited Cedarwood. Millbrook First United Methodist Church will dedicate the new sanctuary June 15 with combined services at 10 a.m.


Eclectic United Methodist Church will hold Vacation Bible School June 16-20 from 6 to 9 p.m., with graduation June 22. The theme is “Weird Animals, Where Jesus’ Love is One of a Kind.” Graduation will be Sunday morning followed by a covered dish meal for the children and parents. Open to ages 4-12. Antioch Baptist Church will hold Vacation Bible School June 21 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Registration will be at 8:30 a.m. The theme will be Destination Heaven. VBS is open to ages 4K through sixth grade. Antioch Baptist Church is located at 1115 Antioch Rd. in Titus.


•Mark Lanier will be in concert at Holtville Riverside Baptist Church June 22. This will also be Sunday Fun Day at the church. Services will start at 10:30 a.m. with free food and games for all after the service. Everyone is welcome.

First Presbyterian Church of Wetumpka will host Family Vacation Bible School June 23-27 from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. each evening.

First Baptist Church of Eclectic will host Vacation Bible School June 23-27 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. This year’s theme is Wilderness Escape. There will be various camps where children will make butter, sandals, instruments and more. Children will also receive coins they can trade for various trinkets at VBS tents. Mulder Church will host its annual Redland, White and Blue Celebration June 29. The evening will begin with a concert by the Kempters at 6 p.m. in the worship center. Immediately following, there will be a time of fellowship with hot dogs and ice cream outside. Following supper, there will be fireworks. Donations accepted to help defray the cost of the fireworks.


New Home Baptist Church of Titus will host Weird Animals 2014 Vacation Bible School July 13-18, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Each evening will begin with a light supper for kids at 6 p.m. The program will run from 6:20 – 8:30. The church is located at 1605 New Home Road, Titus.


Pleasant Hill Baptist Church will hold an Elmore Baptist Association Senior Adult Celebration July 16. Worship will be at 10 a.m., lunch at 11:30 a.m. and a concert at 12:15 p.m. Jay Ray will preach. Donna Allen will provide music with Belles and Beaus singing. Bring a sack lunch. Drink and dessert will be provided.


•Elmore County Hispanic Vacation Bible School will be held July 21-25, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Thelma Baptist Church. All Elmore Baptist churches are encouraged to unite in a single evangelistic effort to reach out to the local Hispanic community. Needs include transportation/drivers to pick up students; bilingual and English speaking volunteers for teaching, recreation and crafts; meals for each day of VBS; and prayers. •Community Fellowshippers meet at Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Church every third Wednesday at 11 a.m. The gathering includes devotion, program, prizes and covered dish luncheon. Local pastors and families encouraged to attend.


Mulder Memorial United Methodist Church hosts a noon salad luncheon the third Thursday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Call 334-567-4225 for more information.


First Presbyterian Church of Wetumpka holds a fellowship lunch every third Sunday after worship.


•Celebrate Recovery, which deals with life’s hurts, habits and hang-ups, holds meetings every Thursday at 6:15 p.m. at Santuck Baptist Church.


•Need a bus ride to church? Healing Waters Church of God in Eclectic offers bus rides to church for anyone who would like to attend, but does not have transportation. Call Steve Roberson at 334-252-1575 at least 24 hours in advance. Sunday services are at 9 a.m. (prayer), 10 a.m. (Sunday School), 11 a.m. (worship) and 6 p.m. (worship). Wednesday services are at 6 p.m. (prayer) and 7 p.m. (worship).


•Friendship Closet, a ministry of Friendship Baptist Church, is open the first Tuesday of each month from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Those who need clothes, shoes, etc. for women, men and children, may visit.


•Hope For Healing Grief Support Group meets the second Monday of each month at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Tallassee.


•River’s Edge Flea Market is open every Saturday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. at East Tallassee United Methodist Church. All vendors welcome – new items, old items, crafts, youth groups, ball teams, baked goods, produce and food. Various booth costs available.
