•The 22nd annual Gospel On The Green will be held Aug. 9 at Equality United Methodist Church. This year’s guest will be the Fraiser Family. Doors will open at 5 p.m. with music starting at 6 p.m. Free admission. Refreshments will be served with all proceeds to be used for local church missions.


Claud Independent Methodist Church will hold Homecoming Aug. 10. The singing duet of Allen Meadows and Leslie Swicord will start at 10 a.m. Homecoming service featuring Ray Weaver will begin at 10:45 a.m. followed by a fellowship pot luck meal.


•The annual Central Union Note Singing will be held at New Style United Methodist Church on Aug. 10 at 12:30 p.m. Dinner will be served during the note singing. The church is located at 76729 Tallassee Highway in Wetumpka.  Rev. John L. Bratcher is the pastor.


Rodgers Chapel AME Zion Church in Wetumpka will celebrate a Jubilee and Church Anniversary Aug. 10 at 2 p.m. Speaker will be the Wallace Nobles from Refuge Temple in Montgomery, West District presiding Elder.


New Style United Methodist Church will hold Revival Aug. 11-13. Services will begin at 7 p.m. each day. Rev. Johnny Hollis, pastor of Mercy Missionary Baptist Church in Montgomery will be the guest speaker. The revival theme is, “Faith in Christ” (taken from John 20:24). Everyone is welcome to come and help uplift Christ’s Kingdom through worship, song and praise. The church is located at 76729 Tallassee Highway in Wetumpka. Rev. John L. Bratcher is the pastor.


Obsessed Christian Music Festival will be held 5-10 p.m. Aug. 16 at the Lake Martin Amphitheater. Various Christian musicians and bands will perform throughout the afternoon and into the evening. The headlining act is Rush of Fools. Advance tickets are $5 and can be purchased at Herren Hill Pharmacy in Tallassee, Ben Atkinson Motors in Tallassee and State Farm Insurance on Vaughn Road in Montgomery. The event will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.



Antioch Baptist Church will celebrate Homecoming Aug. 24 at 10:30 a.m.  There will be one service, followed by dinner in the fellowship hall. The church is located at 1115 Antioch Road in Titus.


•Community Fellowshippers meet at Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Church every third Wednesday at 11 a.m. The gathering includes devotion, program, prizes and covered dish luncheon. Local pastors and families encouraged to attend.


Mulder Memorial United Methodist Church hosts a noon salad luncheon the third Thursday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Call 334-567-4225 for more information.


First Presbyterian Church of Wetumpka holds a fellowship lunch every third Sunday after worship.


•Celebrate Recovery, which deals with life’s hurts, habits and hang-ups, holds meetings every Thursday at 6:15 p.m. at Santuck Baptist Church.


•Need a bus ride to church? Healing Waters Church of God in Eclectic offers bus rides to church for anyone who would like to attend, but does not have transportation. Call Steve Roberson at 334-252-1575 at least 24 hours in advance. Sunday services are at 9 a.m. (prayer), 10 a.m. (Sunday School), 11 a.m. (worship) and 6 p.m. (worship). Wednesday services are at 6 p.m. (prayer) and 7 p.m. (worship).


•Friendship Closet, a ministry of Friendship Baptist Church, is open the first Tuesday of each month from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Those who need clothes, shoes, etc. for women, men and children, may visit.


•Hope For Healing Grief Support Group meets the second Monday of each month at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Tallassee.


•River’s Edge Flea Market is open every Saturday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. at East Tallassee United Methodist Church. All vendors welcome – new items, old items, crafts, youth groups, ball teams, baked goods, produce and food. Various booth costs available.
