New Style United Methodist Church will hold Revival Aug. 11-13. Services will begin at 7 p.m. each day. Rev. Johnny Hollis, pastor of Mercy Missionary Baptist Church in Montgomery will be the guest speaker. The revival theme is, “Faith in Christ” (taken from John 20:24). Everyone is welcome to come and help uplift Christ’s Kingdom through worship, song and praise. The church is located at 76729 Tallassee Highway in Wetumpka. Rev. John L. Bratcher is the pastor.


• The Elmore County Shape Note Singing Convention will meet at the Cedarwood Community Church Aug. 16 at 6:30  p.m. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy singing and listening to your favorite songs and hymns.  Books available for all to pick your song. Obsessed Christian Music Festival will be held 5-10 p.m. Aug. 16 at the Lake Martin Amphitheater. Various Christian musicians and bands will perform throughout the afternoon and into the evening. The headlining act is Rush of Fools. Advance tickets are $5 and can be purchased at Herren Hill Pharmacy in Tallassee, Ben Atkinson Motors in Tallassee and State Farm Insurance on Vaughn Road in Montgomery. The event will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.


Union Ladies Fellowship will be having their Ladies Day Out at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 23 at the church (8188 Lightwood Rd., Marbury). The guest speaker will be Mrs. Karen Glenn Carter, who has a ministry which focuses on young teen girls called Life Choices. She is a wife, mother, grandmother, former Mrs. Alabama, a recording artist and writer. Admission for Ladies Day out is $5. Enfuego, a giant contemporary Christian concert whose line up this year includes Crowder, Kari Jobe, Cloverton, and speaker Tony Nolan, is being held Aug. 23. Parking will be available at New Hope Church and behind Lightwood Volunteer Fire Department where a shuttle will pick people up for Enfuego.


Antioch Baptist Church will celebrate Homecoming Aug. 24 at 10:30 a.m.  There will be one service, followed by dinner in the fellowship hall. The church is located at 1115 Antioch Road in Titus.


Calvary Baptist Church will have a special day of worship and fellowship on Aug. 31. A barbecue lunch will follow the service. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.


•Community Fellowshippers meet at Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Church every third Wednesday at 11 a.m. The gathering includes devotion, program, prizes and covered dish luncheon. Local pastors and families encouraged to attend.


Mulder Memorial United Methodist Church hosts a noon salad luncheon the third Thursday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Call 334-567-4225 for more information.


First Presbyterian Church of Wetumpka holds a fellowship lunch every third Sunday after worship.


•Celebrate Recovery, which deals with life’s hurts, habits and hang-ups, holds meetings every Thursday at 6:15 p.m. at Santuck Baptist Church.


•Need a bus ride to church? Healing Waters Church of God in Eclectic offers bus rides to church for anyone who would like to attend, but does not have transportation. Call Steve Roberson at 334-252-1575 at least 24 hours in advance. Sunday services are at 9 a.m. (prayer), 10 a.m. (Sunday School), 11 a.m. (worship) and 6 p.m. (worship). Wednesday services are at 6 p.m. (prayer) and 7 p.m. (worship).


•Friendship Closet, a ministry of Friendship Baptist Church, is open the first Tuesday of each month from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Those who need clothes, shoes, etc. for women, men and children, may visit.


•Hope For Healing Grief Support Group meets the second Monday of each month at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Tallassee.


•River’s Edge Flea Market is open every Saturday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. at East Tallassee United Methodist Church. All vendors welcome – new items, old items, crafts, youth groups, ball teams, baked goods, produce and food. Various booth costs available.
