First Presbyterian Church bell

A crane lifts First Presbyterian Church's historic bell to a crew in the steeple Friday morning.

A crew lifts the historic bell to First Presbyterian Church back to its place from where the January 2019 tornado ripped it from the church’s steeple.

Crew members rang the bell — a sound not heard in more than a year — once it was placed in the steeple.

Phil Borel, owner of Sound Control, based out of Loreauville, Louisiana, restored the bell and personally delivered it back to the church.

Church pastor Jonathan Yarboro said the bell weighs 1,200 pounds.
