Charles D. Reed, Jr.

Charles D. Reed, Jr., 79, of Eclectic, Alabama, went home to be with the Lord on November 8, 2018. A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 18 at 1:30 p.m. CST at Jackson Lake Island located on Cypress Lane in Millbrook, Alabama. The family will receive guests after the service.

Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles D. Reed, Sr.; mother, Mary Lammers; father, Edward Lammers; sister, Annette Keller; brothers, James, Michael, and Johnny Lammers; sons, Charles R. Reed (“Handy Randy”) and Jonathan C. Reed (Sherry).

Charles is survived by his children, Debriena (Debbie) Totty (Dan), Edward (Eddie) Reed, and Cynthia (Cindy) Burnette (Kenny); 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Elizabeth Henley, Roger Lammers, Susan Towns, and Tim Lammers; and his loved companion, Scotty.

Charles was a Christian who loved his Lord and Savior. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, driving his own racecar, and listening to music, especially the guitar. He was a U.S. Army Veteran during the Vietnam War. He was a devoted family man and loved his children and grandchildren dearly.

His family would like to express their sincere gratitude for your thoughts and prayers. Special thanks to Kindred Home Health and Hospice. Please feel free to make donations to your favorite charity in memory of Pop.
