Janice Davis

On September 9, 2019, Janice Davis of Wetumpka, Alabama was received into Heavenly glory by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Janice was born to Betty Eugenia (Miller) and Henry Neal Williams on December 16, 1930 in Lauderdale, Mississippi. She is survived by her daughters, Jean Brand (Bab) and Becky Daniel; brother in law, Leroy Morse; grandchildren, Joy Griffith (Michael), Jenny Hamilton (John), Bo Brand (Julie), Sundee Davis-O’Brien (Erin), Nicee Long (Dave), Amy Lewis (Larry) and many great grandchildren. Janice was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Betty Williams and Joy Morse; and son, Nolen Davis. Janice was a longtime member of Santuck Baptist Church.  She loved Jesus and loved others. Janice, known as Granny to so many, is remembered for her sweet spirit and the countless pound cakes and boxes of homemade candies she generously distributed throughout her community.  The family wishes to express special thanks to the teams at Right at Home and Ivy Creek Hospice, especially Emma. We are most grateful to Granny’s loving sitters - Sabrina, Monica, Dianne, Sharon, Carolyn and Renee – for the exceptional care they provided. A memorial service will be held, Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Santuck Baptist Church. Officiating is Rev. Larry Gore, Santuck Baptist Church. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Comfort and Joy Ministry at Santuck Baptist Church, 7250 Central Plank Road, Wetumpka.
