The Alabama High School Athletic Directors & Coaches Association (AHSADCA) recently announced Thursday the boys’ and girls’ North-South All-Star squads set to compete in the annual North-South soccer, tennis, golf, softball and baseball competitions set for July 15-19 at Montgomery.

Wetumpka’s Seth Johnson was named to the South baseball roster. Johnson pitched and played outfield for the Indians before earning the Elmore County Player of the Year in his first season with Wetumpka.

James Teel will also represent the Indians after being named to the South tennis roster. This is the first time all-star squads have been named for tennis at the All-Star Sports Week.

Stanhope Elmore will have two representatives, both on the soccer pitch for the South. The Mustangs will have a boys soccer player at the game for the second consecutive season as defender Dylan Presciti was named to the roster while Vicki Cortes got called up for the girls roster.

Holtville third baseman Brooke Cooper will represent the Bulldogs as a member of the South softball roster. Cooper is coming off her best season, setting career-highs for batting average, hits, RBIs and doubles during Holtville’s run to the state tournament.
