With the postseason approaching, the Alabama Sports Writers Association released its final softball poll of the year. There have not been many changes throughout the year and that stayed true this week.

Tallassee continues to hold on to the No. 3 spot in Class 5A. The Tigers have lost two consecutive games but are 34-7 on the season and will host the Area 4 tournament beginning on Tuesday next week.

Holtville sits as the No. 2 team in 4A and capped off an undefeated regular season against area opponents. The Bulldogs (35-9) will begin its postseason with the Area 5 tournament at home Thursday, May 2.
