George’s River Market & Butchery shop located at 201 Spring St. in downtown Wetumpka held its grand opening recently. George’s is the only farm-to-market butcher shop in the county, as most of the fresh-cut beef, pork and lamb is raised on the family’s 400-acre farm in Eclectic. The shop also sells produce, canned and baked goods. The Georges have been involved in raising livestock for more than 50 years.
