Elmore Community Hospital has set up a collection and screening site in the emergency room parking lot.
The collection and screening site will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The hospital asks people who think they may have COVID-19 to call 334-514-3713 before arriving at the hospital.
After answering a set of screening questions, the hospital will determine if the person is a candidate for the coronavirus screening.
If so, a medical staff member will administer the test while the patient waits in his or her vehicle.
A hospital representative said the hospital will host a press conference at 4 p.m. today in the facility's cafeteria.
The Herald will publish a report with additional information following the press conference.
