Elmore County escaped any real damage due to storms Monday night and Tuesday morning.
Elmore County EMA director Keith Barnett said the most significant thing to happen in Elmore County was minor flooding in the western part of the county.
“There is some ponding of water on some roadways,” Barnett said Tuesday. “Some of the drainage ditches filled up with water and started to flood the roads in some places.”
Barnett said he expects those situations to clear up soon. Some Elmore County residents reported between two and four inches of rain overnight.
“We will now watch creek and river levels to monitor potential flooding,” Barnett said. “We are continuing to send crews out to inspect roads and we will monitor things throughout the day.”
