The National Weather Service issued level two out of five severe weather risk for Tallapoosa and Coosa counties. Meanwhile Elmore County was issued a level three out of five severe weather risk.Â
Threats may include isolated tornadoes and damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph. The threat is issued from 2 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday.Â
In Tallapoosa County, all FEMA shelters will be open including Daviston, Camp Hill and Hackneyville.
The Dadeville Courthouse will stay open this afternoon for a safer place past normal business hours and remain open until the threat passes.
In Elmore County, the Elmore County EMA will post confirmed shelter locations on social media in the event of a tornado watch.
