For years now there has been a lot of conversation about bias journalism. To be fair, everyone has biases that they are often blind to. It’s true even journalists can unknowingly have their bias slip in, and some news outlets may even cater to certain political leanings. But that is not The Outlook’s aim.

It’s January and that means resolution season. I won’t get into all the hopeless personal goals I have for myself, but I do want to speak to a professional aspiration I have for 2025.

Among Tallapoosa Publishers' various newspapers and magazines, TPI and its staff took home 68 Alabama Press Association awards. At the end of June, the APA will announce its final awards in categories such as General Excellence, Story and Photo of the Year and Magazine of the Year.
