Skateboarders rolled away with top prizes from the Montgomery Skatepark’s Second Summer Contest Saturday afternoon.
More than 20 participants shredded across beginner, intermediate and advanced rider categories, as well as battled for first place in Best Trick and Mini Ramp, for prizes such as pro decks, shop decks, board bearings, among other items of the winners’ choosing.
Prattville’s Taelin Bowman placed first in Best Trick, landing a backside flip bank-to-bank.
Bowman took third in the advanced rider category that Deandre Perdue won, beating out Dawson Tilley who finished second.
In the intermediate divison, Laine Ferrari raced out to the top, edging second-place finisher Christian Fraymore and third-place Clark Richardson.
Asokah Anderson won the beginners division.
While finishing runner-up in the Advanced category, Tilley took home top honors in the Mini Ramp competition.
