The Wetumpka Indians and coach Bear Woods hosted the third annual Battle for the County 7-on-7 tournament on Thursday night at the City of Wetumpka Sports Complex. Every team was represented in the stands, with supporters coming from all over Elmore County to see their team compete for the title of county champions. The tournament began with round-robin seeding and every team had the opportunity to go up against the other four teams in the tournament. Stanhope Elmore and Wetumpka faced off in the finals, with Wetumpka claiming their third-straight Battle for the County title.
