Just after closing Monday evening a male suspect stole approximately $3,500 from Piggly Wiggly in Eclectic according to the Eclectic Police Department.
A video shared on the Eclectic Police Department Facebook page Tuesday afternoon shows a subject wearing a mask breaking through the glass of the front door and employees running away at approximately 7:54 p.m. The suspect ran directly to an employee-only area ripping open what appears to be a safe. He then removed trays before removing the money and placing it in a bag.
About a minute after entering the store on Kowaliga Road, the subject is seen in the video running out the same door he broke out earlier.
The Eclectic Police Department asks anyone with information about the incident or who knows the person in the video to call the department at 334-541-2148.
