The Elmore County Commission today announced it would remove fees associated with tags, titles and business licenses beginning April 1.
The move was made to encourage residents to do business with the county online.
"With continued messaging to the public to utilize online services and conduct business by telephone to the maximum extent possible, the Commission has worked with the Probate Judge and Revenue Commissioner to create an additional incentive to conduct business remotely," Elmore County Commission chairman Troy Stubbs said in a statement.
Waived fees include all conveininece, processing and mail fees associated with yearly fees for automobile tags, boat and manufactured home registrations, business licenses and registering vehicles purchased from dealers located in Alabama.
Fees will waived until May 31.
