Traci Pittman Kegley

There is now a $15,000 reward in the 1998 disappearance of then 30-year-old Traci Pittman Kegley. 

Cold Case

Submitted / TPI The 1993 Geo Storm belonging to Traci Kegley and found on old Georgia Road. Kegley’s daughter and belongings were in the car but she had been missing since April 26, 1998.

On April 26, 1998, Kegley left her residence in Eclectic, enroute to the Maness BP Convenience Store located at the corner of U.S. Highway 231 North and Redland Road in Wetumpka. Kegley had her two-year-old daughter with her. 

The following morning at 9 a.m., her 1993 Geo Storm was found abandoned on Old Georgia Road (Elmore County Road 170) across from the T&H Grocery, with Kegley’s 2-year-old daughter left unattended inside the vehicle. Kegley’s personal items, including her purse and identification, were found at the scene. 

Kegley has not been heard from since. 

On February 25, 2018, a search warrant was executed in Elmore County, based on information from confidential sources received from CrimeStoppers, leading law enforcement to believe evidence may be found pertaining to a missing person’s case from 1998. As a result of this warrant, a major search of approximately 300 acres of property in eastern Elmore County was searched by multiple law enforcement agencies.

A total of $15,000 is now being offered for information leading to the arrest in this case. The reward is comprised of $10,000 from the Governor of the State of Alabama and CrimeStoppers will pay $5,000 within 30 days from the actual arrest. 

Previously, $10,000 was offered by Traci Pittman Kegley’s parents, and $4,000 from an anonymous donor, CrimeStoppers cannot confirm if these rewards are still active at this point.
